न माता न पिता किंचित्कस्यचित्प्रतिपद्यते ।
दानपथ्योदनो जन्तुः स्वकर्मफलमश्नुते ॥३७॥

37. Neither mother nor father can provide anything to anyone. A living being (jantuḥ) receives its share of charity, wholesome provisions, and food as a result of its own actions (karma).
