महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-1, verse-32

स्वयमुत्पादयित्वाग्निं वस्त्रेण परिवेष्टयेत् ।
दह्यमानो मनस्तापं भजते न स पण्डितः ॥३२॥
32. svayamutpādayitvāgniṁ vastreṇa pariveṣṭayet ,
dahyamāno manastāpaṁ bhajate na sa paṇḍitaḥ.

dahyamānaḥ manastāpam bhajate na saḥ paṇḍitaḥ
32. yaḥ svayam agnim utpādayitvā vastreṇa pariveṣṭayet,

32. One who himself ignites a fire and then wraps it with a garment, and subsequently suffers mental distress from being burned, such a person is not truly wise.
