महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-1, verse-27

मध्यस्थो हि त्वमप्यासीर्न क्षमं किंचिदुक्तवान् ।
धूर्धरेण त्वया भारस्तुलया न समं धृतः ॥२७॥
27. madhyastho hi tvamapyāsīrna kṣamaṁ kiṁciduktavān ,
dhūrdhareṇa tvayā bhārastulayā na samaṁ dhṛtaḥ.
27. madhyasthaḥ hi tvam api āsīḥ na kṣamam kiñcit uktavān
dhūrdhareṇa tvayā bhāraḥ tulayā na samam dhṛtaḥ
27. hi tvam api madhyasthaḥ āsīḥ na kiñcit kṣamam uktavān
dhūrdhareṇa tvayā bhāraḥ tulayā na samam dhṛtaḥ
27. Indeed, you yourself remained neutral (madhyastha) and did not speak anything appropriate. You, as the leader (dhūrdhara), did not bear the burden impartially, like with a balance.
