महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-1, verse-17

न स्मराम्यात्मनः किंचित्पुरा संजय दुष्कृतम् ।
यस्येदं फलमद्येह मया मूढेन भुज्यते ॥१७॥
17. na smarāmyātmanaḥ kiṁcitpurā saṁjaya duṣkṛtam ,
yasyedaṁ phalamadyeha mayā mūḍhena bhujyate.
17. na smarāmi ātmanaḥ kiṃcit purā saṃjaya duṣkṛtam
yasya idam phalam adya iha mayā mūḍhena bhujyate
17. saṃjaya,
aham ātmanaḥ purā kiṃcit दुष्कृतम् न स्मरामि,
यस्य इदम् फलम् अद्य इह मूढेन मया भुज्यते।
17. O Sanjaya, I do not remember any past misdeed of my own self (ātman) for which this consequence is being experienced by me, a foolish man, here today.
