कृप उवाच ।
शुश्रूषुरपि दुर्मेधाः पुरुषोऽनियतेन्द्रियः ।
नालं वेदयितुं कृत्स्नौ धर्मार्थाविति मे मतिः ॥१॥

Kṛpa said: It is my opinion that even a person desirous of learning, who is dull-witted and whose senses are uncontrolled, is not capable of understanding the entirety of both natural law (dharma) and material prosperity (artha).
