22. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tāmatha brāhmaṇīṁ strīṁ ca vijñāya nahuṣātmajaḥ ,
gṛhītvā dakṣiṇe pāṇāvujjahāra tato'vaṭāt.

Vaiśampāyana said: Then, recognizing her as a Brahmin woman, Nahuṣa's son (Yayāti) took her right hand and lifted her out of that well.
