महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-73, verse-20

एष मे दक्षिणो राजन्पाणिस्ताम्रनखाङ्गुलिः ।
समुद्धर गृहीत्वा मां कुलीनस्त्वं हि मे मतः ॥२०॥
20. eṣa me dakṣiṇo rājanpāṇistāmranakhāṅguliḥ ,
samuddhara gṛhītvā māṁ kulīnastvaṁ hi me mataḥ.
20. eṣaḥ me dakṣiṇaḥ rājan pāṇiḥ tāmranakhāṅguliḥ
samuddhara gṛhītvā mām kulīnaḥ tvam hi me mataḥ
20. O King, this is my right hand with its copper-red nails and fingers. Please grasp it and lift me out, for I consider you to be of noble lineage.
