योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-25, verse-30

एवं दृढतरीभूते द्वेषे दानवदेवयोः ।
देवाः स्वर्गं परित्यज्य दिक्षु जग्मुरदर्शनम् ॥ ३० ॥
evaṃ dṛḍhatarībhūte dveṣe dānavadevayoḥ ,
devāḥ svargaṃ parityajya dikṣu jagmuradarśanam 30
30. evam dṛḍhatarībhūte dveṣe dānava devayoḥ devāḥ
svargam parityajya dikṣu jagmuḥ adarśanam
30. evam dānava devayoḥ dveṣe dṛḍhatarībhūte (sati)
devāḥ svargam parityajya dikṣu adarśanam jagmuḥ
30. In this way, with the hatred between demons and gods having grown very strong, the gods abandoned heaven and went into hiding in all directions.
