योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-2, verse-22

नैतदस्यावशं चित्तमभावात्पूर्वकर्मणाम् ।
अद्य तावदनेनाद्यं न किंचित्कर्म संचितम् ॥ २२ ॥

naitadasyāvaśaṃ cittamabhāvātpūrvakarmaṇām ,
adya tāvadanenādyaṃ na kiṃcitkarma saṃcitam 22

22. na etasya avaśam cittam abhāvāt pūrvakarmaṇām |
adya tāvat anena adyam na kiñcit karma sañcitam ||

22. pūrvakarmaṇām abhāvāt etasya cittam na avaśam (asti)
adya tāvat anena adyam kiñcit karma na sañcitam

22. This mind (citta) of his is not uncontrolled (avaśa) because of the absence of previous actions (karma). And today, by him, no action (karma) whatsoever has been accumulated.
