अजस्रमागच्छति सत्वरैवमनारतं गच्छति सत्वरैव ।
कुतोऽपि लोला जनता जगत्यां तरङ्गमाला क्षणभङ्गुरेव ॥ २३ ॥

23. ajasram āgacchati satvarā eva anāratam gacchati satvarā eva
kutaḥ api lolā janatā jagatyām taraṅgamālā kṣaṇabhaṅgurā eva

23. jagatyām kutaḥ api lolā janatā ajasram satvarā eva āgacchati,
anāratam satvarā eva gacchati (sā) taraṅgamālā iva kṣaṇabhaṅgurā eva (asti).

23. The restless populace (janatā) in this world (jagatyām), arising from some unknown source, constantly comes swiftly and continually departs swiftly. It is truly like a series of waves (taraṅgamālā), perishable in an instant.
