योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-27, verse-37

आदातुमिच्छन्पदमुत्तमानां स्वचेतसैवापहतोऽद्य लोकः ।
पतत्यशङ्कं पशुरद्रिकूटादानीलवल्लीफलवाञ्छयैव ॥ ३७ ॥

sva cetasā eva apahataḥ adya lokaḥ

37. Today, people, desiring to achieve the status of the superior ones, are misled by their own minds. They fall fearlessly, just like an animal (paśu) from a mountain peak (adri-kūṭa), solely due to the desire for the fruit of a dark-blue creeper.
