योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-27, verse-22

प्रियासुभिः कालमुखं क्रियन्ते जनैडकास्ते हतकर्मबद्धाः ।
यैः पीनतामेव बलादुपेत्य शरीरबाधेन न ते भवन्ति ॥ २२ ॥
priyāsubhiḥ kālamukhaṃ kriyante janaiḍakāste hatakarmabaddhāḥ ,
yaiḥ pīnatāmeva balādupetya śarīrabādhena na te bhavanti 22

jana-eḍakāḥ te hatakarmabaddhāḥ

22. hatakarmabaddhāḥ te jana-eḍakāḥ priyāsubhiḥ kālamukham kriyante yaiḥ (hetu) balāt pīnatām eva upetya api,

22. People who are like sheep, bound by their unfortunate actions (karma), are offered to the jaws of death by those who cherish their own lives. Even if these individuals forcefully achieve corpulence, they do not find liberation through bodily suffering.
