योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-27, verse-1

श्रीराम उवाच ।
अन्यच्च ताताऽतितरामरम्ये मनोरमे चेह जगत्स्वरूपे ।
न किंचिदायाति तदर्थजातं येनातिविश्रान्तिमुपैति चेतः ॥ १ ॥
śrīrāma uvāca ,
anyacca tātā'titarāmaramye manorame ceha jagatsvarūpe ,
na kiṃcidāyāti tadarthajātaṃ yenātiviśrāntimupaiti cetaḥ 1

aramye manorame ca iha jagatsvarūpe
| na kiñcit āyāti tadarthajātam
yena ativiśrāntim upaiti cetaḥ

1. Śrī Rāma said: "And furthermore, O Father, in this world (jagat), whose nature (svarūpa) is at once exceedingly unpleasant and yet captivating, nothing truly purposeful arises that could bring the mind ultimate peace."
