वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-5, verse-21

दक्षिणस्योदधेस्तीरे त्रिकूटो नाम पर्वतः ।
शिखरे तस्य शैलस्य मध्यमे ऽम्बुदसंनिभे ।
शकुनैरपि दुष्प्रापे टङ्कच्छिन्नचतुर्दिशि ॥२१॥

21. On the shore of the southern ocean, there is a mountain named Trikūṭa. On the middle peak of that mountain, which resembles a cloud, is a place difficult to reach even for birds, appearing as if it were carved on all four sides by a chisel.
