वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-5, verse-13

तपसाराधितो देव यदि नो दिशसे वरम् ।
अजेयाः शत्रुहन्तारस्तथैव चिरजीविनः ।
प्रभविष्णवो भवामेति परस्परमनुव्रताः ॥१३॥
13. tapasārādhito deva yadi no diśase varam ,
ajeyāḥ śatruhantārastathaiva cirajīvinaḥ ,
prabhaviṣṇavo bhavāmeti parasparamanuvratāḥ.
13. tapasā ārādhitaḥ deva yadi naḥ
diśase varam ajeyāḥ śatruhantāraḥ
tathā eva cirajīvinaḥ prabhaviṣṇavaḥ
bhavāma iti parasparam anuvratāḥ
13. O deity, worshipped by our austerities (tapas), if you grant us a boon, then we wish to become unconquerable, destroyers of enemies, and also long-lived, powerful, and mutually devoted.
