वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-24, verse-11

न खल्विदानीं पश्यामि दुःखस्यान्तमिहात्मनः ।
अहो धिन्मानुषांल् लोकान्नास्ति खल्वधमः परः ॥११॥
11. na khalvidānīṃ paśyāmi duḥkhasyāntamihātmanaḥ ,
aho dhinmānuṣāṃl lokānnāsti khalvadhamaḥ paraḥ.
11. na khalu idānīm paśyāmi duḥkhasya antam iha ātmanaḥ
aho dhik mānuṣān lokān na asti khalu adhamaḥ paraḥ
11. idānīm iha ātmanaḥ duḥkhasya antam na khalu paśyāmi
aho mānuṣān lokān dhik khalu adhamaḥ paraḥ na asti
11. Indeed, I do not see an end to this sorrow for my own self (ātman) now. Oh, woe to human beings! Truly, there is no one more wretched.
