वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-11, verse-41

धनेश्वरस्त्वथ पितृवाक्यगौरवान्न्यवेशयच्छशिविमले गिरौ पुरीम् ।
स्वलंकृतैर्भवनवरैर्विभूषितां पुरंदरस्येव तदामरावतीम् ॥४१॥
41. dhaneśvarastvatha pitṛvākyagauravānnyaveśayacchaśivimale girau purīm ,
svalaṃkṛtairbhavanavarairvibhūṣitāṃ puraṃdarasyeva tadāmarāvatīm.
41. dhaneśvaraḥ tu atha pitṛ-vākya-gauravāt
nyaveśayat śaśi-vimale girau purīm
su-alaṃkṛtaiḥ bhavana-varaiḥ
vibhūṣitām purandarasya iva tadā amarāvatīm
41. atha tu dhaneśvaraḥ pitṛ-vākya-gauravāt śaśi-vimale girau purīm nyaveśayat.
tadā purandarasya amarāvatīm iva su-alaṃkṛtaiḥ bhavana-varaiḥ vibhūṣitām.
41. Then, out of respect for his father's words, Dhaneśvara (Kubera) established the city on the moon-bright, pure mountain. It was adorned with splendid, well-decorated mansions, like the Amarāvatī of Purandara (Indra) at that time.
