वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-11, verse-33

वरप्रदानसंमूढो मान्यामान्यं सुदुर्मतिः ।
न वेत्ति मम शापाच्च प्रकृतिं दारुणां गतः ॥३३॥
33. varapradānasaṃmūḍho mānyāmānyaṃ sudurmatiḥ ,
na vetti mama śāpācca prakṛtiṃ dāruṇāṃ gataḥ.

na vetti mama śāpāt ca prakṛtim dāruṇām gataḥ
33. Deluded by the boon he received, that very evil-minded one does not discern what is honorable and what is not. And due to my curse, he has adopted a cruel nature (prakṛti).
