वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-77, verse-13

अयुक्तं निधनं कर्तुं पुत्रस्य जनितुर्मम ।
घृणामपास्य रामार्थे निहन्यां भ्रातुरात्मजम् ॥१३॥
13. ayuktaṃ nidhanaṃ kartuṃ putrasya janiturmama ,
ghṛṇāmapāsya rāmārthe nihanyāṃ bhrāturātmajam.

13. It is improper for me to cause the death of my father's son (my brother). Yet, setting aside compassion for Rāma's sake, I would even kill my brother's son (my nephew).
