वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-53, verse-44

निष्पपात तदा चोक्ला ज्वलन्ती भीमनिस्वना ।
आदित्यो निष्प्रभश्चासीन्न प्रवाति सुखो ऽनिलः ॥४४॥
44. niṣpapāta tadā coklā jvalantī bhīmanisvanā ,
ādityo niṣprabhaścāsīnna pravāti sukho'nilaḥ.
44. niṣpapāta tadā ca ulkā jvalantī bhīmanisvanā
ādityaḥ niṣprabhaḥ ca āsīt na pravāti sukhaḥ anilaḥ
44. Then a flaming meteor with a terrible sound fell. The sun became devoid of its brilliance, and a pleasant wind did not blow.
