सम्यगुक्तं हि भवता दूतवध्या विगर्हिता ।
अवश्यं तु वधादन्यः क्रियतामस्य निग्रहः ॥२॥

avaśyaṃ tu vadhādanyaḥ kriyatāmasya nigrahaḥ.

Indeed, it has been rightly said by you that the killing of a messenger is despicable. But certainly, some punishment other than death should be carried out for him.
