वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-45, verse-21

स तेन बाणैः प्रसभं निपातितैश्चकार नादं घननादनिःस्वनः ।
समुत्पपाताशु नभः स मारुतिर्भुजोरुविक्षेपण घोरदर्शनः ॥२१॥
21. sa tena bāṇaiḥ prasabhaṃ nipātitaiścakāra nādaṃ ghananādaniḥsvanaḥ ,
samutpapātāśu nabhaḥ sa mārutirbhujoruvikṣepaṇa ghoradarśanaḥ.
21. saḥ tena bāṇaiḥ prasabham nipātitaiḥ
cakāra nādam ghananādaniḥsvanaḥ
samutpapāta āśu nabhaḥ saḥ
mārutiḥ bhujoruviṣepaṇaghoradarśanaḥ
21. Despite being violently struck by his (Akṣa's) arrows, he (Hanumān) emitted a roar like the thunderous sound of a cloud. That Hanumān (māruti) then swiftly leapt into the sky, his appearance terrifying due to the vigorous flinging of his arms and thighs.
