वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-33, verse-29

तस्य तां सहसा शाखां भारेण पतगोत्तमः ।
सुपर्णः पर्णबहुलां बभञ्जाथ महाबलः ॥२९॥
29. tasya tāṃ sahasā śākhāṃ bhāreṇa patagottamaḥ ,
suparṇaḥ parṇabahulāṃ babhañjātha mahābalaḥ.
29. tasya tām sahasā śākhām bhāreṇa patagottamaḥ
suparṇaḥ parṇabahulām babhañja atha mahābalaḥ
29. atha mahābalaḥ suparṇaḥ patagottamaḥ tasya tām parṇabahulām śākhām sahasā bhāreṇa babhañja.
29. Then, the mighty Suparṇa, the best of birds, suddenly broke that branch of his, which was abundant with leaves, because of his immense weight.
