तपसि पचसि विश्वं पासि भस्मीकरोषि प्रकटयसि मयूखैर्ह्रादयस्यम्बुगर्भैः ।
सृजसि कमलजन्मा पालयस्यच्युताख्यः क्षपयसि च युगान्ते रुद्ररूपस्त्वमेकः ॥३८॥

38. tapasi pacasi viśvaṃ pāsi bhasmīkaroṣi prakaṭayasi mayūkhairhrādayasyambugarbhaiḥ .

38.
You mature the universe through your intense spiritual discipline (tapas), you protect it, and you reduce it to ashes. You manifest through your rays, and you cool with clouds pregnant with water. You create as Brahmā (the lotus-born), you protect as Viṣṇu (known as Acyuta), and you, the one Lord, destroy at the end of the age (yugānta) in the form of Rudra.
