महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-7, verse-35

देवताः पितरश्चैव पूर्वे ये चास्य बान्धवाः ।
ददृशुर्निहतं तत्र भारद्वाजं महारथम् ॥३५॥
35. devatāḥ pitaraścaiva pūrve ye cāsya bāndhavāḥ ,
dadṛśurnihataṁ tatra bhāradvājaṁ mahāratham.

dadṛśuḥ nihatam tatra bhāradvājam mahāratham

35. The gods, ancestors (pitṛs), and his former relatives saw Bhāradvāja (Drona), the great chariot-warrior, slain there.
