महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-71, verse-15

तस्य तुण्डे महेष्वासो भारद्वाजो व्यरोचत ।
अश्वत्थामा कृपश्चैव चक्षुरास्तां नरेश्वर ॥१५॥
15. tasya tuṇḍe maheṣvāso bhāradvājo vyarocata ,
aśvatthāmā kṛpaścaiva cakṣurāstāṁ nareśvara.

15. nara īśvara tasya tuṇḍe maheṣvāsaḥ bhāradvājaḥ vyarocata,

15. In the beak of that formation (Krauñca vyūha), the great archer Bhāradvāja (Droṇa) was positioned prominently. Indeed, Aśvatthāmā and Kṛpa were its eyes, O lord of men.
