ततः सांयमनिः क्रुद्धः पार्षतं परवीरहा ।
आजघान त्रिभिर्बाणैस्तोत्त्रैरिव महाद्विपम् ॥३५॥

35. tataḥ sāṁyamaniḥ kruddhaḥ pārṣataṁ paravīrahā ,
ājaghāna tribhirbāṇaistottrairiva mahādvipam.

35. tataḥ kruddhaḥ paravīrahā sāṃyamanih tribhiḥ bāṇaiḥ pārṣatam ājaghāna,
mahādvipam totraiḥ iva.

35. Then, Saṃyamani (Aśvatthāmā), enraged and a slayer of enemy heroes, struck the son of Pṛṣata (Dhṛṣṭadyumna) with three arrows, just as one would strike a great elephant with goads.
