सोऽतिविद्धो महेष्वासः सृक्किणी परिसंलिहन् ।
भल्लेन भृशतीक्ष्णेन निचकर्तास्य कार्मुकम् ॥२२॥

22. He (Pāñcālya), though severely wounded (atividdhaḥ) and a great bowman (maheṣvāsaḥ), licked the corners of his mouth (sṛkkiṇī) and cut down his (Aśvatthāman's) bow (kārmukam) with a very sharp bhalla arrow.
