महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-57, verse-26

तं महौघमिवायान्तं खात्पतन्तमिवोरगम् ।
भ्रान्तावरणनिस्त्रिंशं कालोत्सृष्टमिवान्तकम् ॥२६॥
26. taṁ mahaughamivāyāntaṁ khātpatantamivoragam ,
bhrāntāvaraṇanistriṁśaṁ kālotsṛṣṭamivāntakam.
26. taṃ mahaugham iva āyāntaṃ khāt patantam iva uragam
| bhrāntāvaraṇanistriṃśaṃ kāla utsṛṣṭam iva antakam
26. (pāṇḍavāḥ) taṃ mahaugham iva
āyāntaṃ khāt patantam iva uragam
bhrāntāvaraṇanistriṃśaṃ kāla
utsṛṣṭam iva antakam (apaśyan)
26. They beheld him (Aśvatthāman) approaching like a mighty flood, like a serpent falling from the sky, with his sword whirling in a protective manner, resembling Death (Antaka) himself, unleashed by Time (Kāla).
