महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-100, verse-7

पादाताश्चापि शस्त्राणि समुत्सृज्य महारणे ।
निरपेक्षा व्यधावन्त तेन तेन स्म भारत ॥७॥
7. pādātāścāpi śastrāṇi samutsṛjya mahāraṇe ,
nirapekṣā vyadhāvanta tena tena sma bhārata.

7. bhārata pādātāḥ ca api mahā-raṇe śastrāṇi

7. O Bhārata, even the foot soldiers, abandoning their weapons on the great battlefield, fled in all directions, without any regard for their lives.
