महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-54, verse-25

सा समीक्ष्य ततो देवान्पुण्यश्लोकं च भारत ।
नैषधं वरयामास भैमी धर्मेण भारत ॥२५॥
25. sā samīkṣya tato devānpuṇyaślokaṁ ca bhārata ,
naiṣadhaṁ varayāmāsa bhaimī dharmeṇa bhārata.
25. sā samīkṣya tataḥ devān puṇyaślokam ca bhārata
naiṣadham varayāmāsa bhaimī dharmeṇa bhārata
25. O Bhārata, having observed the gods and the celebrated Nala, Bhīma's daughter (Bhaimī) then chose Nala (Naiṣadha) in accordance with natural law (dharma), O Bhārata.
