महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-214, verse-27

स तस्य पर्वतस्याग्रे निषण्णोऽद्भुतविक्रमः ।
व्यलोकयदमेयात्मा मुखैर्नानाविधैर्दिशः ।
स पश्यन्विविधान्भावांश्चकार निनदं पुनः ॥२७॥
27. sa tasya parvatasyāgre niṣaṇṇo'dbhutavikramaḥ ,
vyalokayadameyātmā mukhairnānāvidhairdiśaḥ ,
sa paśyanvividhānbhāvāṁścakāra ninadaṁ punaḥ.
27. saḥ tasya parvatasya agre niṣaṇṇaḥ
adbhutavikramaḥ vyalokayat ameyātmā
mukhaiḥ nānāvidhaiḥ diśaḥ saḥ paśyan
vividhān bhāvān cakāra ninadam punaḥ
27. Seated on that mountain peak, he of astonishing prowess, whose nature (ātman) is immeasurable, gazed upon the directions with his various faces. Perceiving various states, he roared again.
