महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-134, verse-2

न मेऽद्य वक्ष्यस्यतिवादिमानिन्ग्लहं प्रपन्नः सरितामिवागमः ।
हुताशनस्येव समिद्धतेजसः स्थिरो भवस्वेह ममाद्य बन्दिन् ॥२॥
2. na me'dya vakṣyasyativādimāni;nglahaṁ prapannaḥ saritāmivāgamaḥ ,
hutāśanasyeva samiddhatejasaḥ; sthiro bhavasveha mamādya bandin.
2. na me adya vakṣyasi ativādimānin
glaham prapannaḥ saritām iva āgamaḥ
hutāśanasya iva samiddhatejasaḥ
sthiraḥ bhavasva iha mama adya bandin
2. O boastful one, today you will not speak to me as one who has entered a contest, like the confluence of rivers. O bard, today you must remain steadfast here before me, like the blazing splendor of a fire.
