बन्द्युवाच ।
अहं पुत्रो वरुणस्योत राज्ञस्तत्रास सत्रं द्वादशवार्षिकं वै ।
सत्रेण ते जनक तुल्यकालं तदर्थं ते प्रहिता मे द्विजाग्र्याः ॥२४॥

ahaṁ putro varuṇasyota rājña;statrāsa satraṁ dvādaśavārṣikaṁ vai ,
satreṇa te janaka tulyakālaṁ; tadarthaṁ te prahitā me dvijāgryāḥ.

24. Bandy said: I am the son of King Varuna. There, a twelve-year Vedic ritual (satra) was held. O Janaka, for the duration of that ritual, my excellent Brahmins were sent to you for that purpose.
