अष्टावक्र उवाच ।
अत्रोग्रसेनसमितेषु राजन्समागतेष्वप्रतिमेषु राजसु ।
न वै विवित्सान्तरमस्ति वादिनां महाजले हंसनिनादिनामिव ॥१॥

1. aṣṭāvakra uvāca ,
atrograsenasamiteṣu rāja;nsamāgateṣvapratimeṣu rājasu ,
na vai vivitsāntaramasti vādināṁ; mahājale haṁsaninādināmiva.

1. Aṣṭāvakra said: Here, O King, among these incomparable kings assembled in Ugrasena's gathering, there is no real distinction in their debates, just as among swans crying in a great lake.

1. אַשְׁתָאוַקְרַה אמר, הו מלך, בין המלכים חסרי הדומה שהתקבצו כאן, באסיפה המזכירה את אסיפות אוּגְרַסֵנַה, אין בין הדוברים מקום לרצון להתווכח, כמו בין ברבורים הקוראים על מים רבים.
