महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-16, chapter-9, verse-23

विना जनार्दनं वीरं नाहं जीवितुमुत्सहे ।
श्रुत्वैव हि गतं विष्णुं ममापि मुमुहुर्दिशः ॥२३॥
23. vinā janārdanaṁ vīraṁ nāhaṁ jīvitumutsahe ,
śrutvaiva hi gataṁ viṣṇuṁ mamāpi mumuhurdiśaḥ.
23. vinā janārdanam vīram na aham jīvitum utsahe
śrutvā eva hi gatam viṣṇum mama api mumuhuḥ diśaḥ
23. aham vīram janārdanam vinā jīvitum na utsahe hi
eva gatam viṣṇum śrutvā mama api diśaḥ mumuhuḥ
23. Without the heroic Janārdana, I am unable to live. For, merely hearing that Viṣṇu (viṣṇu) has departed, even the directions became bewildered for me.
