महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-55, verse-35

पुनश्चाख्यातुमिच्छामि भगवन्विस्तरेण वै ।
कथमेष्यति विप्रत्वं कुलं मे भृगुनन्दन ।
कश्चासौ भविता बन्धुर्मम कश्चापि संमतः ॥३५॥
35. punaścākhyātumicchāmi bhagavanvistareṇa vai ,
kathameṣyati vipratvaṁ kulaṁ me bhṛgunandana ,
kaścāsau bhavitā bandhurmama kaścāpi saṁmataḥ.
35. punaḥ ca ākhyātum icchāmi bhagavan
vistareṇa vai katham eṣyati vipratvam
kulam me bhṛgunandana kaḥ ca asau
bhavitā bandhuḥ mama kaḥ ca api saṃmataḥ
35. bhagavan punaḥ ca vistareṇa vai ākhyātum
icchāmi bhṛgunandana me kulam
vipratvam katham eṣyati ca asau kaḥ

35. Furthermore, O venerable one, I wish for you to explain in detail: How will my lineage achieve the status of a Brahmin (vipratva), O descendant of Bhṛgu? And who will be that relative (bandhu) of mine? And who will also be acceptable (saṃmata)?
