महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-55, verse-8

अतीव ह्यत्र मुह्यामि चिन्तयानो दिवानिशम् ।
न चैवात्राधिगच्छामि सर्वस्यास्य विनिश्चयम् ।
एतदिच्छामि कार्त्स्न्येन सत्यं श्रोतुं तपोधन ॥८॥
8. atīva hyatra muhyāmi cintayāno divāniśam ,
na caivātrādhigacchāmi sarvasyāsya viniścayam ,
etadicchāmi kārtsnyena satyaṁ śrotuṁ tapodhana.
8. atīva hi atra muhyāmi cintayānaḥ
divāniśam na ca eva atra adhigacchāmi
sarvasya asya viniścayam etat icchāmi
kārtsnyena satyam śrotum tapodhana
8. tapodhana hi atra divāniśam cintayānaḥ atīva muhyāmi.
atra ca asya sarvasya viniścayam na eva adhigacchāmi.
etat satyam kārtsnyena śrotum icchāmi.
8. Indeed, I am exceedingly bewildered by this, contemplating day and night. And here, I cannot grasp the definite conclusion of all this. O ascetic whose wealth is austerity (tapodhana), I desire to hear this truth completely.
