महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-125, verse-34

दत्तानकुशलैरर्थान्मनीषी संजिजीविषुः ।
प्राप्य वर्तयसे नूनं तेनासि हरिणः कृशः ॥३४॥
34. dattānakuśalairarthānmanīṣī saṁjijīviṣuḥ ,
prāpya vartayase nūnaṁ tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ.
34. dattān akuśalaiḥ arthān manīṣī saṃjijīviṣuḥ
prāpya vartayase nūnam tena asi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ
34. manīṣī saṃjijīviṣuḥ tvam akuśalaiḥ dattān arthān
prāpya nūnam vartayase tena asi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ
34. You, a wise (manīṣī) person desirous of living (saṃjijīviṣuḥ), surely survive by accepting wealth (artha) that was given by the incompetent. Therefore, you are emaciated like a deer.
