महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-125, verse-21

तपःप्रणिहितात्मानं मन्ये त्वारण्यकाङ्क्षिणम् ।
बन्धुवर्गो न गृह्णाति तेनासि हरिणः कृशः ॥२१॥
21. tapaḥpraṇihitātmānaṁ manye tvāraṇyakāṅkṣiṇam ,
bandhuvargo na gṛhṇāti tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ.

21. I believe you are one whose inner being (ātman) is devoted to asceticism (tapas) and who longs for the forest. Your kinfolk do not accept you. Therefore, you are emaciated like a deer.
