महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-125, verse-12

गुणवान्विगुणानन्यान्नूनं पश्यसि सत्कृतान् ।
प्राज्ञोऽप्राज्ञान्विनीतात्मा तेनासि हरिणः कृशः ॥१२॥
12. guṇavānviguṇānanyānnūnaṁ paśyasi satkṛtān ,
prājño'prājñānvinītātmā tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ.
12. guṇavān viguṇān anyān nūnam paśyasi satkṛtān
prājñaḥ aprājñān vinītātmā tena asi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ
12. guṇavān prājñaḥ vinītātmā nūnam viguṇān anyān
satkṛtān aprājñān paśyasi tena hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ asi
12. You, who are virtuous, surely see other people who are devoid of qualities being honored. You, who are wise and possess a disciplined self (ātman), [see] the unwise [being honored]. Therefore, you are emaciated like a deer.
