महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-94, verse-8

अप्रियं यस्य कुर्वीत भूयस्तस्य प्रियं चरेत् ।
नचिरेण प्रियः स स्याद्योऽप्रियः प्रियमाचरेत् ॥८॥

8. apriyaṁ yasya kurvīta bhūyastasya priyaṁ caret ,
nacireṇa priyaḥ sa syādyo'priyaḥ priyamācaret.

8. If one has caused displeasure to someone, one should then do what is agreeable for him again. Quickly, that person who was disliked will become dear if he performs agreeable actions.
