महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-94, verse-33

अथ यो गुणसंपन्नान्हृदयस्याप्रियानपि ।
प्रियेण कुरुते वश्यांश्चिरं यशसि तिष्ठति ॥३३॥

33. atha yo guṇasaṁpannānhṛdayasyāpriyānapi ,
priyeṇa kurute vaśyāṁściraṁ yaśasi tiṣṭhati.

33. Now, a person who, through affection or pleasing means, makes those who are virtuous but perhaps disagreeable to his heart subservient, such a person remains in glory for a long time.
