महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-94, verse-4

साहसप्रकृतिर्यत्र कुरुते किंचिदुल्बणम् ।
अशास्त्रलक्षणो राजा क्षिप्रमेव विनश्यति ॥४॥
4. sāhasaprakṛtiryatra kurute kiṁcidulbaṇam ,
aśāstralakṣaṇo rājā kṣiprameva vinaśyati.

4. When a king, whose intrinsic nature (prakṛti) is violent, performs something excessive, that ruler, whose characteristics are not in accordance with the scriptures, swiftly meets destruction.
