वामदेव उवाच ।
यत्राधर्मं प्रणयते दुर्बले बलवत्तरः ।
तां वृत्तिमुपजीवन्ति ये भवन्ति तदन्वयाः ॥१॥

Vāmadeva said: Where a stronger person imposes unrighteousness (adharma) upon a weaker one, those who are connected with that (stronger person) subsist on that kind of conduct.
