महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-78, verse-14

ब्राह्मणान्परिरक्षन्ति संग्रामेष्वपलायिनः ।
क्षत्रिया मे स्वकर्मस्था मामकान्तरमाविशः ॥१४॥
14. brāhmaṇānparirakṣanti saṁgrāmeṣvapalāyinaḥ ,
kṣatriyā me svakarmasthā māmakāntaramāviśaḥ.

kṣatriyāḥ me svakarmasthāḥ māmakāntaram āviśaḥ
14. apalāyinaḥ saṃgrāmeṣu brāhmaṇān parirakṣanti
me svakarmasthāḥ kṣatriyāḥ māmakāntaram āviśaḥ
14. Kshatriyas (kṣatriyāḥ) who do not flee in battles protect Brahmins. These Kshatriyas, steadfast in their own duties (svakarma), enter into my inner being.
