महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-278, verse-25

तत्संयोगेन वृद्धिं चाप्यपश्यत्स तु शंकरः ।
महामतिरचिन्त्यात्मा सत्यधर्मरतः सदा ॥२५॥
25. tatsaṁyogena vṛddhiṁ cāpyapaśyatsa tu śaṁkaraḥ ,
mahāmatiracintyātmā satyadharmarataḥ sadā.
25. tatasaṃyogena vṛddhim ca api apaśyat saḥ tu śaṅkaraḥ
| mahāmatira acintyātmā satyadharma rataḥ sadā
25. tu saḥ mahāmatiḥ acintyātmā sadā satyadharma rataḥ
śaṅkaraḥ tatasaṃyogena ca api vṛddhim apaśyat
25. But Shankara, the great-minded one, whose very nature (ātman) is inconceivable, always devoted to truth (satya) and his intrinsic nature (dharma), observed the increase resulting from that union.
