महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-125, verse-29

हिमवान्वा महाशैलः समुद्रो वा महोदधिः ।
महत्त्वान्नान्वपद्येतां रोदस्योरन्तरं यथा ।
आशायास्तपसि श्रेष्ठास्तथा नान्तमहं गतः ॥२९॥
29. himavānvā mahāśailaḥ samudro vā mahodadhiḥ ,
mahattvānnānvapadyetāṁ rodasyorantaraṁ yathā ,
āśāyāstapasi śreṣṭhāstathā nāntamahaṁ gataḥ.

29. Just as neither the great mountain Himalaya nor the vast ocean, despite their immensity, could fill the space between heaven and earth, similarly, O best among those engaged in asceticism (tapas), I have not reached the end of hope.
