महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-125, verse-23

पदातिर्बद्धनिस्त्रिंशो धन्वी बाणी नरेश्वर ।
एतदिच्छाम विज्ञातुं कुतः प्राप्तोऽसि मानद ।
कस्मिन्कुले हि जातस्त्वं किंनामासि ब्रवीहि नः ॥२३॥

etadicchāma vijñātuṁ kutaḥ prāpto'si mānada ,
kasminkule hi jātastvaṁ kiṁnāmāsi bravīhi naḥ.

23. O lord of men (naraiśvara)! O giver of honor (mānada)! You are a foot-soldier, with a sword fastened, a bowman, and an archer. We wish to know this: From where have you come? In what lineage indeed are you born? What is your name? Tell us.
