महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-27, verse-4

सूत उवाच ।
विषयोऽयं पुराणस्य यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि ।
शृणु मे वदतः सर्वमेतत्संक्षेपतो द्विज ॥४॥
4. sūta uvāca ,
viṣayo'yaṁ purāṇasya yanmāṁ tvaṁ paripṛcchasi ,
śṛṇu me vadataḥ sarvametatsaṁkṣepato dvija.
4. sūtaḥ uvāca viṣayaḥ ayam purāṇasya yat mām tvam
paripṛcchasi śṛṇu me vadataḥ sarvam etat saṃkṣepataḥ dvija
4. Sūta said: 'This subject, about which you question me, pertains to the Purāṇa. Listen, O Dvija, as I recount all this briefly.'
